pls stop doing expermental and amature activity , it is time and money consuming activity. samanvay thinking about it seriously , after 2008 every activity/drama should be commercial.
Alan... I think what Shashank means to say is not charge for performances. It is generally done in commercial plays, but, there is a general downturn in the interest to try out something new, due to which new levels are not been achieved.
I think this is the individual comment and its not SAMNAVAY who is thinking it in that way exactly. Yes SHASHANK is thinking in that way.. but not SAMANVAY .But yes, SAMANVAY has got some dimension and problems regarding this issue of experimental theatre activity....One thing is sure we have to find out the other ways for survival of theatre.!!!

why we differentiate theatre first of all into two or more worlds!!!experimental and commercial.....!! theatre is theatre...... may it be with less amount of money or with huge budget!!! i think this is killing our instinct / khaj to do experimental theatre.... theatre should entertain in a way it would teach and open new ventures...both thematically and visually.....thants the main funda! what do you think?
well, that came as a shock to me sir... but, no doubt u have a stronger point, ur experience only tells it.. but, i want to suggest u, why cant we make some good commercial plays, represented in an unconventional way, like the New Wave in Bollywood, means the films from directors like Anurag Kashyap & Dibakar banerjee? thats kinda fusion of experimental & commercial! what do u think?? & sir, will u plz give me ur e-mail address, i need it in order to get u connected in Orkut.. waiting for ur response..... By the way, i'm Harshal, if u dont remember, i was in Tengshe...
all what is going on in theatre (all type of) is have to face same probleam so i think that we have to keep doing things as time came (as time is best medicine for all this things) and for that waiting time that we are spending now is good and we have to keep saying that more better time for us so all budys who want to do exeparimental theatre keep rolling
